Hunting and Gun Ammunition

October 17, 2014 by Smith John   Comments (0)

When you ask a man to choose his favorite cartridge for hunting, you may as well be asking whether he prefers blondes or brunettes, the answer is the same; it is “Yes!” of course. Still, a decision must be made for any particular hunting trip as to which kind of gun ammo ammunition you will get. Probably the biggest factor when you are trying to decide what type of hunting ammunition to buy is where you are going to be doing your hunting. If you will be in a densely thick wooded glade for instance, you may want to consider a short barreled rifle that features a quickly chambered second round. This means that a .300 to a .358 round would be just about perfect for you to use. On the other hand, if you plan on taking your chances in the great wide open, you may want to consider buying gun ammunition such as the .243-7 millimeter that is perfect for that long range sniping action.
